Washed In Black

The early 90's are coming back into vogue this year, and not only in the way of spring's neon, paint splats and awkward silhouettes.
Grunge reared it's head on the fall '08 runway at Alexander Wang, who updated it by taking a lot (but of course not all) the slob out of the look: he paired looser-fitting tops with slim pants, short shorts and minis, and kept the layering within reason. Maybe not for the office (unless your office is really cool), but fierce for after hours.
Key assets: Black and more black, loose tops, fitted bottoms, exposed center zippers, a stocking cap.
